Welcome to the World, Caleb

Caleb James David was born on 5/25/25 at 3:48pm. He came 3 weeks early and weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces. He is doing well.

My labor started with a partially ruptured placenta and lasted over 24 hours. There were a few times they almost needed to do an emergency c section, but then his heart rate would go back up. It was one of the most scary things I’ve walked through, not knowing if my baby would be okay, and at times, wondering if I would be okay.

But God.

I am so grateful for His hand of protection. He took care of my baby. Amidst all of the chaos, I felt such peace that God was in control and that I could trust Him no matter how things went. The relief I felt when my baby was out and on my chest was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
