Called To The Difficult

Sometimes God calls us to the difficult.

Me and my kids recently talked about Noah and how God called him to build the ark. That was no easy feat. And it probably didn’t make any sense to him, but since God called him to do it, he obeyed.

Recently, I’ve felt God leading me to begin a book that feels really challenging. I feel like writing something else—something fun—but God doesn’t always call us to the easier thing.

I feel inspired by Noah’s obedience. It’s speculated that it could have taken him anywhere between 25-75 YEARS. He suffered ridicule for his actions. He probably doubted whether he heard God right at times. But he kept going.

I pray we have the willingness to step into the things God calls us to.
