Broken in The Woods | Microfiction

I posted this piece to social media on Valentine's Day but never got around to sharing it here on my website.

This microfiction was fun to write. It reminded me a lot of songwriting because of its small length and particular word choices. It didn't take much time to write, which felt pretty amazing after two years of continuous work on a single novel.

(p.s. I may or may not be working on a short story based on this piece. Okay. I am.)
